The Voluntary Abersoch Jazz Festival Committee apologise, to all our friends and jazzers, as they have had to make the difficult decision to ‘take a break’ in 2012. We are faced with the impossible, logistical situation caused by the dates for the Late May Bank Holiday and the Queen’s diamond Jubilee Celebrations having been moved to our traditional June week in the jazz calendar year. This, combined with the London Olympics 2012 in the summer and our experiences of the negative effect on our attendance, accommodation and finances caused by the football world cup, has left us with no alternative but to abandon next year’s festival.
